I'm a former biology researcher who's recently discovered my passion for data science and programming. Generating and analyzing my first large-scale genomic dataset granted me insight into how data science can accelerate our understanding of complex systems.
I began taking statistics and computer science courses and decided to switch fields. I enrolled at the Institute for Advanced Analytics to improve my data analysis skills. After completing my studies in May of 2024, I joined the Durham VA as a biostatistician.
Through my statistics and computer science coursework, as well as my work experience, I have developed expertise in data analysis and programming. By developing my presentation and communication skills, I have become adept at conveying complex scientific results to a diverse audiences.
Skilled in Python, R, SQL, and computer science fundamentals.
Adept at applying statistical methods to extract insights from complex data.
Expertise in scientific thinking, problem-solving, and experimental design.
Effective communicator of complex topics with strong data visualization skills.
